Amelie Posse-Brazdova(1884-1957), Swedish writer confined in Sardinia on the outbreak of war. Alghero was chosen as the place of her exile, a town destined to become the heart of the journal in which Amelie wrote down the experiences of a whole year(1915-16) spent in some-thing between a holiday and "incomparable imprissonment". Her book Sardinian Slideshow was published for the first timein 1931.
